OpenSonde is operated by Ben Graves, based in the United Kingdom. This page explains how we handle personal data when organisations use the OpenSonde platform.
What we collect
- Account data: names and email addresses for authorised users.
- Operational logs: login events, API access logs, and error logs.
- Device data: telemetry submitted by connected devices, which may include location if transmitted by the device.
We use Plausible Analytics for basic website usage insights. It does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

Hosting
OpenSonde is currently hosted in the United Kingdom. Infrastructure providers may be operated by companies headquartered outside the UK.
Retention
Account data is retained while access is active. Logs are retained as needed for security and debugging. Device data is retained as required to provide the service to the organisation operating the deployment.
